To give users access to AppleShare IP services, you need to register them by creating user accounts, then give them access privileges to your network services. Each user must enter a registered user name whenever logging on to an AppleShare IP server. You can assign users an Internet alias, a password, mail settings, group memberships, and comments.

Note: If you are sharing user and group information among primary and secondary servers, you must set up users on the primary server.
